“The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design.”

- Friedrich August Von Hayek

Hi! Welcome to my world of “Once upon a time in Economics.” Where the magical entities like dwarfs, goblins, fairies, witches, talking animals will teach you concepts and ideas about the introductory study of economics.

The characters and images of fairy tales have cast a spell over adults and children for centuries. These stories that have crossed cultural borders and been passed on from generation to generation, ever-changing, renewed with each re-telling.

A few would conflict considering fairy tales as childish and foolish, but on the whole, they have been widely accepted in every culture and retold in various languages. No longer are they considered as a Once upon a time tale, but rather bearers of wisdom, deep, thought provoking and illuminating.

My love for the subject inspired me to think of how I could tell the tales that we grew up listening to with a slight twist. I want to be able to pass on my interest for the language of economics to younger generations.

“The way to read a fairy tale is to throw yourself in.”

- W.H. Auden

So let’s go huffing and puffing through Economics!
