Three little kittens tell us that goods are tangible items that people need and services are performed for others.

Three little kittens confessed to having lost their mittens and began to cry. The mother punished the naughty kittens by giving them no fish pie that she had baked for them. The kittens looked high and low and ultimately found their lost mittens. The mother awarded them with the pie that she had baked for them. And the mittens that they had soiled while eating had to be washed by them like good obedient kittens only to be rewarded by a mice dish by the mother cat. This tale is an effective selection to introduce the concept of goods and services. Goods are (most of the time) tangible items: books, pencils, shoes and bottles. Services, on the other hand, are activities provided by other people: cooking, teaching, driving and transporting. Can you identify the goods and services in this fairytale?
